I am very blessed to be the principal of this wonderful Catholic school in the tri-parish community of St. Peter, St. Lawrence, and Resurrection Catholic Parishes. This is my eighth year at St. Peter Catholic School and my 31st year in Catholic education. I enjoy living our motto by praying, playing, and learning with our students.

I taught physical education for four years at St. Matthew Catholic School in Campbellsport, Our Lady of Angels in Armstrong, and St. Mary Catholic School in Mayville. I also taught at St. Mary Springs Academy in Fond du Lac. I was a middle school teacher teaching religion, social studies, and math for ten years, one year in eighth grade and nine years in seventh grade. I was also an athletic director for three years and principal for nine years within St. Mary Springs Academy.

I enjoy golfing and reading in my spare time. I love to watch the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish!

I am thrilled to teach for my fifth year at St. Peter Catholic School, in my hometown of Slinger and also working for my parish. My three brothers, one sister, and I are alumni of St. Peter Catholic School. If you go to the 10:30 AM Mass, you are sure to see me there with my mom and my husband.

I was the K4/K5 teacher at St. Matthew Catholic School in Campbellsport for 25 years. I enjoyed teaching at St. Matthew Catholic School very much, but when the opportunity to teach at St. Peter Catholic School came up, I was ecstatic.

My husband and I enjoy organic gardening, walking, biking, swimming, and kayaking at Pike Lake State Park. I appreciate the beautiful gift of nature and very much appreciate the opportunity to teach your child. I am looking forward to spending a wonderful school year with you and your child as we share our gifts and grow in knowledge and love.

My family includes my husband Roger and our four children: Melissa, Zachery, Christopher and Nicholas. In our free time, my family enjoys camping, hiking, biking, and canoeing.

I love interacting with all of the children. I enjoy helping children grow academically, independently, and in their faith. I feel very blessed to be a part of the St. Peter Catholic School Staff!

Mrs. Nicole Metcalf

4K Teacher

Post-Baccalaureate in Elementary Education (K-8)
Cardinal Stritch University

I love being St. Peter’s 4K teacher. I previously taught first and fifth grade.I originally went to school for Journalism and work in social media before going back to school to get my teaching certificate at Cardinal Stritch in 2015.

My goal as a teacher is to inspire life-long learning and model what it means to be a good Catholic citizen. I also want to emphasis the growth mindset, where students may not master the task or standard right away but with practice and work they can make progress.

In my spare time I love to swim, read, and travel. My husband and I are expecting our first child in March, 2019.

Mrs. Tami Kramer

4K Aide

Milwaukee Area Technical School-Liberal Arts

Being a mother has always been my vocation.  When it was time to go back to work, this job was an answer to my prayers.

My family, my husband Jason, children Joseph, Jenna and Jessa moved back to Wisconsin after living in the sunny south for 17 years.  We are so happy to be a part of St. Peter parish and school.  Everyone has been so welcoming and warm.  We enjoy biking, hiking and cooking together.

It is a great pleasure to work with Mrs. Metcalf and the 4K students and families.  It’s a joy to see the children grow in Jesus, as well as socially and academically.  This opportunity has been such a blessing to me!

What an honor it is to continue to be part of the St. Peter Family!  Words cannot express how much I love teaching at a Catholic school!  To be able to talk about and grow in our faith with these young children is truly one of the biggest blessings of my job.  This is my fourth year at St. Peter Catholic School, and I genuinely look forward to being part of this community and watching the students grow in their faith.

My first degree is in Cultural Geography, in which I did a lot of traveling and went on many adventures. After much tugging on my heart, I finally answered the Lord’s call and went back to school to get my teaching certificate in elementary education. May peace be the journey for you and your family this school year!

Mrs. Christine Strobel

2nd Grade Teacher

Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education

This is my fifth year teaching at SPCS. I enjoy working with children to help them succeed in their learning and growing in their faith. Teaching with farm stories from my childhood, learning outside, and hands-on experiences are part of our daily routine in second grade. My favorite things about second grade is preparing my students for their First Reconciliation and First Communion and learning cursive handwriting.  Along with teaching 2nd grade, I also assist in the daily reading intervention group and help coordinate the yearly assessments.

Outside of school, I love to spend time outdoors with my husband Andy, spending time with family and friends and playing with our son Zackary.

This is my 23rd in education and teaching at St. Peter Catholic School. Throughout my life, I was irresistibly drawn to a career in teaching, and my experiences here have helped me become an accomplished professional in the field of education. This has made my life more meaningful and rewarding.

My family is most important to me and the sense of family is what drew me to St. Peter Catholic School for employment and is what keeps me here today. I have a developed many lifelong friendships here that help complete my life.

Our grandchildren are growing way too fast and trying to comprehend that our children are grown and have started lives on their own is both difficult and rewarding. We have a huge garden that keeps me busy all summer. Fall brings the wonderful aroma of boiling tomatoes to my kitchen for canning. Settling down with a good book is always a welcoming thought, however, making that reality is precious. As a family, we spend many weekends together enjoying our cabin up north.

Mrs. Rita Bills

This is my 19th year teaching at St. Peter Catholic School and my 32nd year in education. I believe in hands-on learning and incorporating faith into our daily school work. My goal is to help each child become a successful learner while having fun. I love pigs – just ask any of the kids. I love angels too, but the kids always seem to remember my love for pigs more.

My husband, Scott, and I have been St. Peter parishioners for 23 years, and our three grown children are alumni of our great school. When I am not at school you may find me working in my yard or hiking with the family. This family-oriented, faith-filled school community makes coming to school everyday an easy choice!

Mrs. Michelle Devries

I am very excited to become a part of St. Peter Parish School!  Before teaching here, I  taught at St. Anthony Parish School in Menomonee Falls. I taught Kindergarten for two years, and 24 years in third grade.  I graduated from the University of Whitewater with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Science.

I believe that every child can succeed in an environment that they feel safe in and that is positive.  I also believe that all students should have the chance to learn.  It is my responsibility to get to know my students, teach them using strategies in which they learn best, and challenge each student at levels that are comfortable enough for them.

I am currently living in Menomonee Falls with my husband (Michael) and my two daughters (Macayla and Marissa). I love watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. I also enjoy everything Disney! When I am not teaching, I enjoy walking, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.

Greetings from the music room at St. Peter Catholic School! I have been happily teaching music at St. Peter’s for ten years, having graduated in 2009. I’ve also been the full time Music Director for the Parish for seven years. I have four children, Eli, Josie, Teddy, and Hazel, who are growing up faster than I can keep up. My wife, Laura, is now mostly a stay-at-home mom, while also working outside the home a bit, too, working with children and families as a part of Ozaukee Family Services in Grafton. As a family, we enjoy traveling, running, hiking, playing board games, and spending time with our extended families. May your year be a blessed one!

Mr. Kevin Maher

PE/Health Teacher

Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Minors in Health Education and Adaptive Physical Education
University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh

                                                [email protected]

I have been the Physical Education and Health Teacher at St. Peter Catholic School since 2011.  My favorite thing about teaching P.E. is that we get to laugh, play, and have fun every day! I also enjoy teaching and learning new games and ways to stay active with my students. I look forward to an outstanding school year!

Mrs. Manya Suchy

Technology Specialist

[email protected]

This is my seventh year as the Technology Specialist at St. Peter Catholic School. I enjoy working with 3K – 5th grade students, as it is truly rewarding to watch their eyes light up when they are meeting new challenges with technology.

I have been teaching keyboarding and using 21st Century tools (Google Apps, Typing Web, KIDBLOG, Prezi, SUMDOG) with students and teachers for the past few years. These tools will allow you to view all of the work your child does on the computer, iPad, or Tablet. I absolutely love the fact that students and parents no longer need to worry about having something 100% compatible with school!

I live in Bayside with my husband, Fred, and our only remaining “child” – our chocolate lab, Sommer (11). We have two other daughters – Mackenzie (19) – in her third year at UW-Stevens Point and Alyssa (26) – who was a UW-Madison grad that now works and lives in Washington D.C.

Mrs. Jennifer Koebel

Mrs. Donna Michaels

University of Illinois-BA Education

Olivet Nazarene University-M. Ed. Curriculum and Development

I am so excited to be a part of St. Peter’s teaching library skills and helping students develop a love of reading!  Previously I taught third grade at  Mary’s in West Bend and second grade at St. Catherine in Beaver Dam.  My aim is to be an example of the love of Jesus and to do all I can to encourage life-long learning.  My family includes my wonderful 14 year old daughter and two very fun dogs.  I enjoy all things books!  Also, reading, writing, book clubs, sewing and visiting with my family.

Mrs. Kerry Garcia

Piano Instructor

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music
Alverno College
Master of Arts in Music
Saint Mary of the Woods College

I have been teaching piano for 17 years, and I am very excited to be a part of the staff at St. Peter Catholic School. I also teach at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, while accompanying several choirs and leading church music.

In addition to my background in piano pedagogy, I am a board-certified music therapist, and specialize in working with children and adults of all abilities. I have a background in music therapy with early childhood through 5th grade special education in the public school setting. I am also a member of Music Teachers National Association and the National Federation of Music Clubs, and I attend conferences annually to stay current in new pedagogical research (such as why playing piano makes your child smarter!).

My love for music helps me to instill that same love and excitement for music in your children, and to foster in them this excitement to use their God-given talents to praise our Lord. My Catholic higher education gave me great opportunity to focus on church music and to train our children to be future music leaders of our parishes. Everyday, the children of St. Peter Catholic School make me smile, and I feel truly blessed to be teaching at St. Peter Catholic School.
